Good Eats

The tasting went very well, thank you. The food was delicious! And the wine, oh the wine. I am pretty picky when it comes to wine and I loved all of them. They are all from California, which I think is fun. It was nice to see the Club again. It's bigger than I remembered, but then again when I saw it last I was in my twenties. We met with the florist again to talk about the different arrangements he'll be making. I think the place is going to look beautiful.

I'm hoping people are making hotel reservations as we found out that hotels book up pretty fast. Who knew Santa Barbara was the second most popular destination wedding location? It sure is gorgeous, though...

I had a major freak out on Tuesday. I'm talking some major ugly crying. No one died, I didn't get fired, the cats are okay, but I did accidently delete my blog. I don't know how I managed to do it, but it was gone. After regaining my composure (a small meltdown happened in the courtyard outside the studio) I immediatly e-mailed Blogger Support and pleaded for help. A day later an angel named Danish e-mailed me to say they he had fixed everything. The blog is back!


Tomorrow we are off to the tasting and I plan on wearing loose clothing so I can grow with the food we consume. We have been told to not wear jeans, flip flops or other casual clothing. I had no idea how fancy pants this place was. Does this mean I can't fart or swear? Guess we'll find out!

The New and Improved Lamprey Family

I'm back!

It's been almost two weeks now since my last post - so sorry! Quite honestly, I've been waiting for a good picture of my brother's wedding to post, but no one has sent me anything. Zane and Jen's wedding was fantastic. It was so great to see all of my family and the hotel was awesome. It was nice that everything was in one place - the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony and the reception were all on the grounds of The Parker. And everyone stayed there so it was fun to see people at breakfast, wandering around the grounds and swimming in the pool. I was so sad to leave. I was especially sad to see my little Fiona go. It was so great to spend time with her. She's talking in sentences now - she tells me that she loves me and I just melt. I miss her so much!

As for our wedding, we have our tasting on Friday. We're hoping for deliciousness. And, hold on to your hats, Brandon is going to sample the meat. I may do some sampling of my own, but I'll probably chicken out - get it? Chicken! Out!

ME = 30

My mom sent me this great collage of pictures today. She also sent me the most beautiful flowers. Have I mentioned how awesome my mom is? Brandon sang to me this morning and brought me out to lunch. Tonight he's taking me out to dinner, but I won't let him tell me where because I love surprises. He also got me gift certificates for cooking classes, which I am so excited about. What a cutie. We had a brunch with some friends yesterday. It was super fun and my lovely friend Shari made the most beautiful cupcakes I have ever seen (they were also delicious). And just now my co-workers surprised me with an ice-cream cake! You know, I was kind of nervous about turning 30, but so far it feels pretty good. I've never been happier. I am marrying the man of my dreams and I have an incredible family and amazing friends. And soon I'll be adding more members to my family, so it seems that life just keeps on getting better!
